West Clermont Meet the Candidate Night

This upcoming election time is going to mean major changes and decisions for each and every resident of the West Clermont School District.  It has been brought to our attention that there will be a meet and greet for the current four running candidates for the two open positions. If you find yourself with any concerns or questions this would be a good meeting to go to.  Get to know your school board and be a part of it all.  We ALL have a say in what determines our future.  Hope to see you there!

Wednesday, October 12th, Eastgate Holiday Inn from 7-9 pm.
Doors will open at 6:30pm.  The question/answer forum will have a moderator.  Questions will come from those that attend on index cards that they receive at the door.

WT Honored

WT is going to be honored at the board meeting on Monday night (Civic Center @ 7:00pm) for being Excellent With Distinction - all are welcome. How cool is that?!  YAY WT!  GOOOOO BOBCATS!

Cookie Dough Kick Off!

Well, it's back!  Yesterday the packets were sent home for our cookie dough kick off.  Why do I say 'our'? Because the sales benefit ALL of us!  There are different ways to order.  Check and money orders are preferred  but orders can be placed online also.  Money and orders are due October 4th. There are also some really fun prizes for the kids.  A couple include a pizza party for their class and a performance by Rick Smith Jr. from America's Got Talent.  How fun!  So take a peek at your child's packet and have fun selling!

Info from Sept 12 West Clermont Board of Education meeting

At the Sept 12th meeting, the Board passed the following resolution:

Be it resolved that the West Clermont Board of Education does hereby direct the administration to restore the following reductions effective January 2, 2012, should the November 8th levy pass:
-Transportation to be restored to 2010-2011 school year levels
-All buildings shall be open to community use, per board policy

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the West Clermont Board of Education does hereby direct the administration to restore the following reductions effective at the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year, should the November 8th levy pass:
-provide Music, Art, Gifted and Media services for all elementary buildings
-Athletic fees will be reduced to $150 per sport

PTO meeting 9/14

It was a good meeting last night.  Many ideas and thoughts were brought to the table and discussed.  Some upcoming events are as follows:

Cookie Dough Kickoff begins September 20th
Skating party at the Beechmont Rollerena on Sept 29th from 6-8
Scholastic Book Fair end of October/beginning of November.

We discussed drop off/pick up of kids. Different ways to get involved.  Different events.  And had fun doing so.  

Looking like our next PTO meeting will be the second Wednesday in October which falls on October 12th starting at 6:30.  Remember, we need YOU to be there-be a part-and give to the group. It is fun to be a part of your children's school life and really, they love it too.  We can't work on things, change things that you may not like or give answers to your questions without you there to open up discussion. Please plan to attend the meeting and help us make this a GREAT year!

We are looking for volunteers to help run and support our events for this school y ear.  Please take a look at the listing below and let us know if you are interested.  You may either write them on a sheet of paper with your name, event name, child's grade level, phone number and email and return that sheet to your child's teacher or email us back through this site to let us know. We will contact you to confirm your availability and answer any questions you may have.  Almost all of these events have during school and evening volunteer opportunities available.  Thank you for your support!

Upcoming PTO Meeting

There will be a PTO Meeting on the 14th of September at the Amelia Middle School (Library) from 6:30 to 7:30pm.  Please come and hear about the different opportunities and ways you can volunteer to make this year GREAT!  You can also have a chance to give an opinion on what you feel needs some work and any new ideas.  Hope to see you there.

PTO Fundraising 2011-2012

The PTO is the fundraising engine for the school.  All of the money we earn goes back into the school and the classrooms.

WT PTO

The WT PTO is a parent driven group that supports the students and staff of Withamsville-Tobasco Elementary School.  Our main goal is to create opportunities for parents to feel a part of the school through volunteering.  The more parents involve themselves in their child's education, the more successful those students become!  Our events are designed to enhance the school experiences that the children receive.  some of what we do raises funds to offer continual support to the classrooms.  Overall, we want to create a strong school community where parents, staff, and students work together to make great things happen.

Welcome back to the WT 2011-2012 school season!

Hope you all had a great summer and are ready to kick off the new school year!  Last night was Open House at WT and it looked to be a very good turn out.  Our PTO had a table with lots of information and sign ups for different fun things going on throughout the year for parents to help out with.  If you missed it don't worry, there are many different ways to sign up or get involved.  We will have those opportunities listed here on our new PTO blog.  As we get new information, we will post that for you.  So make sure to check back periodically or sign up via email to make sure you don't miss anything you would like to help with.  With that, we wish you a wonderful school year!  GOOOOO Bobcats!
